LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Compare rates of right ventricular recovery across major etiologies of severe right ventricular dysfunction
- Identify clinical and echocardiographic predictors associated with recovery of right ventricular function
- Assess the relationship between right ventricular recovery and long-term mortality
- Recognize the limitations of current guideline-based indications in identifying high-risk patients after initial diagnosis of severe aortic stenosis
- Describe the development and validation of the EARLY-AS score for predicting early mortality after initial diagnosis
- Identify the clinical and echocardiographic predictors incorporated into the EARLY-AS score
- Evaluate how the EARLY-AS score may improve risk stratification
- Describe the association between body mass exposure and progression of calcific aortic valve disease
- Describe how AI-enabled analysis of routine transthoracic echocardiography can detect non-hypertrophic genetic cardiomyopathy beyond conventional echocardiographic measures and across the LVEF spectrum
- Identify the potential role of AI-enabled echocardiography as a case-finding tool to support targeted clinical and genetic evaluation
