LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Describe the use of artificial intelligence-guided handheld focused cardiac ultrasound performed by novice operators for the identification of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
- Evaluate the diagnostic performance of novice-acquired artificial intelligence-guided handheld focused cardiac ultrasound compared with comprehensive echocardiography for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy detection
- Describe the physiologic rationale and echocardiographic derivation of pressure-adjusted heart rate (PAHR) in severe aortic stenosis
- Identify the association between PAHR and mortality during medical management and following aortic valve replacement in patients with severe aortic stenosis
- Compare AR severity assessment by echocardiography and CMR
- Review how elevated LA pressure in patients with MAC results from both transmitral obstruction and increased LV filling pressure.
- Review the importance of a multiparametric approach in assessing the severity of MS in patients with MAC
