Essentials of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) - Online

This “Essentials of Continuous Professional Development” activity provides a variety of important educational content and resources for course directors, faculty, and staff which focus on the development of continuous professional development programs.  This activity includes topics such as copyright, protected health information, developing an educational need or gap statement, building good assessments, etc.

Module 4 - Develop A Practice Gap and Educational Need: Tips for Course Directors

Target Audience

This activity is appropriate for allied health, healthcare executives, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, and physician assistants involved in the planning of continuous professional development activities.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the importance of including patients as partners in CPD
  • Enumerate effective CPD delivery formats
  • Describe the concept of competency-based education
  • Review copyright regulatory framework

When cancelling a registration for a course 14 days or more before the course start date, a full refund (minus a $75 administrative fee) will be issued in the same form of payment the registration was received.
