Essentials of CPD - Module 1 - Legal Aspects and Practical Application of Copyright

This activity will contain several sessions on development of continuous professional development Education.  It will include items such as copyright, developing an educational need or gap statement, building good assessments, etc.

The information in this module is about copyright law. Copyright protects the original expression of an idea in the form of a creative work, but not the idea itself. The creative work may be in a literary, artistic, educational, or musical form.

With that, CPD has developed a separate set of policies for what can and cannot be included on slides used in educational activities. Based on business needs, CPD has taken what is called the “middle-of-the-road” approach to copyright. This document was created to help guide faculty through popular types of images and delivery methods to determine if they are high-risk or low risk.
