This course is designed as a review of surgical approaches and operative techniques pertaining to surgical treatment of skull base lesions such as skull base tumors, cerebral aneurysms, and other disorders. The course is designed for neurosurgeons, ENT specialists, residents, fellows, and mid-level providers to provide a global approach to the skull base. It combines both microscopic and endoscopic techniques along with a simulated micro-anastomosis training session to improve microsurgical skills. The course will provide a mixture of didactic, case-based discussions, and hands on microscopic and endoscopic workshops that will focus on application of these techniques.

Target Audience
This course is designed for neurosurgery and otolaryngology medical providers at various stages of their careers including residents, fellows, attendings and neurosurgery team members, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Attendees will understand the major skull base approaches to various neurosurgical and vascular disorders affecting the skull base and brain.
- Attendees will review the appropriate approaches and microsurgical techniques for treatment of complex neurosurgical disorders including cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations, and skull base tumors.
- Review of the endoscopic transnasal skull base approaches to the sellar area and clivus lesions via imaging and video recordings, and a hands on laboratory.
- A neurovascular simulation hands-on workshop will also be available for attendees.
