Join us for a live webinar session on caring for hereditary mutation carriers. This session will cover how to counsel patients with high‑ and moderate‑penetrance mutations on the timing of risk‑reducing surgery, navigate discussions about estrogen replacement therapy after surgery, and address management strategies for non-breast cancer risks associated with hereditary mutations. Gain practical, case‑based insights to support confident and compassionate patient counseling.

Target Audience

This course is specifically tailored for specialty groups including medical oncology, women’s health, family medicine, and primary care. The content is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and allied health professionals.

Learning Objectives

  • Determine an approach to counsel patients with high and moderate penetrance hereditary mutations on appropriate timing for risk reducing surgeries.
  • Discuss the role of estrogen replacement therapy after risk reducing surgery and differentiate it from traditional hormone replacement therapy in mutation carriers.
  • Identify strategies to manage additional non–breast cancer risks associated with hereditary gene mutations.
