Session 4: Common Golf Injuries

Golf is a common sport for all ages. Although considered a lower risk sport, many types of injuries can occur. Daniel P. Montero, M.D., CAQSM, will review common golf injuries that affect both amateurs and professionals. Carl H. Zart, P.T., will discuss prevention and rehabilitation for many of these common ailments as well as how to recognize certain swing characteristics which may make the golfer more susceptible to these injuries.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify common golf injuries (Domain 1, Task: 0101)
  • Discuss rehab protocols for common golf injuries (Domain 4, Task: 0401)
  • Review appropriate warm ups and preventative exercises for golf (Domain 1, Task: 0102)
