Session 2: Endurance Training for Health and Performance

This webinar will discuss endurance training and how to improve health without overtraining or sustaining injuries. Jeff Carson, PT, DPT, OCS, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Division of Sports Medicine, will identify how to minimize risks of over training for athletes who wish to train for performance. As running is the most common mode of endurance training, methods of reducing the risk of common running injuries will be discussed.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of over reaching and over training .
- Identify strategies and techniques to prevent over training and over Reaching.
- Identify and share information with therapy patients to prevent common running injuries.
