Chronic tendinopathy is extremely common accounting to more than 30% of Sports-Related injuries.  It can also occur via occupational or lifestyle activities which can impair work and recreational performance.  Management can be very challenging which can cause frustration to the patient.  Our multidisciplinary team will discuss how to appropriately diagnose tendinopathies and appropriately focus your non-operative treatment of these patients. We will review the pathophysiology of tendinopathies in order to understand different treatment options we can offer the patient.  A review of the current evidence for extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT), nitroglycerin patches, corticosteroid injections, high volume image guided injection (HVIGI), percutaneous needle tenotomies (PNT) and platelet rich plasma (PRP).   In addition we will review the current rehabilitation recommendation which is the most important aspect in treating tendinopathy.  Please join us for a comprehensive review on the management of tendinopathies.
