Kristina DeMatas, D.O. and Valerie Spees, D.P.T. will review the relevant anatomy, risk factors for injury and management of common volleyball injuries. Preparations for volleyball event coverage will also be reviewed.

This course is designed for PT, PTA, Allied Health, Physician, Athletic Trainer, PA, Resident/Fellow, Nurse, Scientist Researcher, Nurse Practitioner

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Diagnose common volleyball injuries (Domain 2, Task 0203 & 0204)
  • Identify the appropriate management of volleyball injuries (Domain 4, Task: 0401 & 0407)
  • Determine how to prepare for volleyball event coverage (Domain 1, Task: 0102 & 0104)
