The Midwest Pediatric Cardiology Society Meeting is an annual 2 day event designed to bring together anyone who cares for pediatric cardiology patients, including pediatric cardiologists, pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, pediatric cardiac intensivists, neurodevelopmental specialists, social workers, and pediatric cardiology nurses. The focus is on original research, with scientific abstracts submitted and presented in oral and poster forms. The first day includes an allied health scientific session and social events. The second day includes abstract presentations and an invited speaker.

Target Audience
This course is designed for pediatric cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, pediatric cardiac intensivists, neurodevelopmental specialists, social workers and pediatric cardiology nurses.
Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Recognize current strategies for improving outcomes in patients after surgical palliation for hypoplastic left heart syndrome.
- Identify the breadth of research being performed by academic pediatric cardiology programs in the Midwest.

Each year, the Todd and Karen Wanek Family Program for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome holds an event called Feel the Beat. It's a day for HLHS families to connect, learn about the research taking place, and engage in the shared mission of HLHS innovation. In order to receive the special rate, reservations must be made before the room block is filled or before the expiration date of Wednesday, August 8, 2018, whichever comes first. Reservations will be taken following this date based on space and rate availability. Identify yourself as a participant of the Midwest Pediatric Cardiology meeting.
Lodging arrangements are the sole responsibility of the individual registrant.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Request for cancellations must be submitted in writing to cme@mayo.edu. When cancelling a registration for a course 14 days or more before the course start date, a full refund (minus a $75 administrative fee) will be issued in the same form of payment the registration was received. No refunds are granted less than 14 days before the course start date.
