The Multidisciplinary Update in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine 2026 course provides a state-of-the-art update on clinical advances in pulmonary and critical care medicine. A multidisciplinary faculty from Mayo Clinic imparts a comprehensive approach to the current evaluation and management of various respiratory diseases. Topics include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary hypertension, ICU evaluation and management of shock, artificial intelligence and radiomics in computerized tomography of patients with pulmonary disease, and new technologies for patients with pulmonary nodules and interstitial lung disease.

Target Audience

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe revisions in terminology and concepts regarding interstitial lung disease
- Recognize the use of antifibrotic treatments in progressive pulmonary fibrotic disorders
- Summarize the evaluation and treatment of acute exacerbations of interstitial lung disease
- Apply the current guidelines for management of patients with pulmonary hypertension
- Evaluate and treat long-term consequences of pulmonary thromboembolic disease
- Summarize evidence-based indications for mechanical circulatory support
- Cite best practices for the management of patients with cystic fibrosis
- Summarize emergent concepts and advancements in the management of patients with non-mycobacterial bronchiectasis
- Define principles on how to sleep better
