Occupational and Industrial Rehabilitation

The Mayo Clinic Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Board Review is designed for candidates preparing for certifying and maintenance of certification examinations in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This online content is intended to provide a comprehensive review of the topic areas and facilitate additional study if needed.   

Faculty:

Russell Gelfman, M.D., M.S. is a consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is an assistant professor in the College of Medicine, has a master’s degree in clinical and translational science and is the clinical director of work rehabilitation. His research interests include upper extremity neuro-musculoskeletal conditions that impact an individual's ability to work and he has been treating individuals in the clinical setting with temporary and permanent work disability for more than 22 years. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Rehabilitation Review Panel and is a committee member on the Medical Services Review Board for the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry.
