Thank you for your interest in submitting an abstract for consideration of a poster presentation at the RISE for Equity: Reflect, Inspire, Strengthen & Empower 2021. 

“RISE for Equity” Poster Session

This year RISE for Equity will host a poster session with the goal of sharing your knowledge to inspire leaders in healthcare to rise to situations where advancing and directing policy, programs and institutional initiatives to expand diversity, promote equity and catalyze inclusive activities.  We invite you to take advantage of the unique opportunity and submit an abstract to be presented as a poster during RISE for Equity: Reflect, Inspire, strengthen and & Empower 2021.  Abstracts will be accepted July 1 – August 31, 2021.

Participants are encouraged to submit projects highlighting programs and initiatives that impact the practice, education, research, and administrative environments in health care.  Abstracts that provide evidence and successful models for engaging targeted stakeholders and constituents and advancing health care diversity, equity and inclusion are encouraged.

  • DEI Workforce Initiatives
  • Strategies for leadership
  • Current Health Care DEI Research
  • Assessing Climate for Equity and Diversity
  • Anti-Racism/Equity Projects in Health Care
  • Well-being initiatives
  • Community Based Programs, Research, and Initiatives for Advancing Health
  • Leadership Styles- Case studies: Lessons in Leadership, (e.g. transformational, collaborative, democratic, etc.)
  • Optimizing the workplace - Business change, leading for change, leading clinical change

Submission Criteria

  • Create a profile and Log into your Account.  Instructions can be found at the FAQ
  • Complete and submit abstract form between July 1, 2021 and August 31, 2021
  • Abstracts are limited to 250 words
  • Complete the form below

Requirements 

  • Course will provide 4 x 4 ft. display board and push pins
  • If poster is selected, registration for the first author will be covered by the course
  • All costs associated with the poster are the responsibility of the authors
  • A special reception will be held for participant viewing of the abstracts; authors must stay with their posters during this reception and other designated poster viewing times during the conference
  • The panel will select 3-4 posters to present 5-10 minutes live on-stage during the Poster Reception
