Mayo Clinic International Hospital Internal Medicine Conference 2025 |

The Mayo Clinic International Hospital Internal Medicine Conference focuses on advancements in hospital medicine and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). The conference features internationally renowned experts offering lectures focused on the latest research, new developments, and practice updates pertaining to hospital medicine that can be readily integrated into daily clinical practice. The goal of the conference is to familiarize clinicians with the clinical reach and expertise of the hospitalist in the management of complex patients within the hospital setting. Additional lectures are included and provide an overview of hospital medicine with particular focus on the field’s success in improving quality of care and patient outcomes, reducing costs, and optimizing hospital operations. These lectures help promote the field of hospital medicine internationally and provide a framework for establishing successful hospital medicine programs outside of the United States. A POCUS workshop is offered as a supplement to the main lectures for those interested in mastering the required skills for the safe and appropriate use of POCUS in their everyday practice. |

Mayo Clinic Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesia (MOCA) Simulation 2023 Course - Phoenix, Arizona |
June 2, September 8, and November 17, 2023 - Mayo Clinic - Phoenix, Arizona This is a one day, simulation-based course that fulfills the simulation requirements for Part IV of MOCA. It consists of a series of simulation scenarios followed by debriefing periods with a variety of anesthetic challenges. This course reviews cases that any board certified anesthesiologist ought to be striving to manage. Skill sets for team management, as well as managing hemodynamic and respiratory instability are also reviewed in this course. Participants participate in experiential learning where cases are observed followed by post-case analysis. Each participant has the opportunity to be the prime manager of at least one scenario and to be part of a backup team in other scenarios. |
