This live and livestream course provides the latest, state-of-the-art information on the diagnosis and management of common gastroenterology and hepatology disorders. Topics include innovation in management of Barrett’s esophagus, enteral feeding, endoscopic evaluation of IBD patients, endoscopic resection of large colorectal lesion, small bowel bleeding, path to success in medical innovation, evaluation of liver masses, new approaches in PBC management, and update on steatotic liver disease.  Friday offers a full-day, interactive, live-endoscopy session where participants have the unique opportunity to ask the endoscopists questions while the procedures are taking place. Special lunch with the Endoscopists on Friday. Saturday offers didactic lectures, both live and livestream, with panel discussions for interactive Q & A opportunities with course faculty members. Active audience participation is strongly encouraged.

The Mayo Clinic International Hospital Internal Medicine Conference focuses on advancements in hospital medicine and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). The conference features internationally renowned experts offering lectures focused on the latest research, new developments, and practice updates pertaining to hospital medicine that can be readily integrated into daily clinical practice. The goal of the conference is to familiarize clinicians with the clinical reach and expertise of the hospitalist in the management of complex patients within the hospital setting. Additional lectures are included and provide an overview of hospital medicine with particular focus on the field’s success in improving quality of care and patient outcomes, reducing costs, and optimizing hospital operations. These lectures help promote the field of hospital medicine internationally and provide a framework for establishing successful hospital medicine programs outside of the United States. A POCUS workshop is offered as a supplement to the main lectures for those interested in mastering the required skills for the safe and appropriate use of POCUS in their everyday practice.

Clinical Autonomic Disorders: Case-Based and Laboratory Workshop 2025

This course focuses primarily on the three autonomic function tests that have CPT codes. Course lectures focus on underlying physiology, patient preparation, indications for autonomic testing, factors that affect the results of these autonomic tests, and HCFA requirements. The heart of the course demonstrates specific autonomic function tests; including quantitative sudomotor axon reflect tests (QSART), tests of cardiovagal function (heart rate response to deep breathing and to the Valsalva maneuver), and tests of the adrenergic function. Hands-on demonstrations are incorporated. Content on the interpretation of common and uncommon examples of tests is highlighted, in addition to lectures on a number of dysautonomias (POTS, syncope, autoimmune neuropathy; and pain) on which new information is available, or disorders where the autonomic laboratory is responsible for evaluating.
