DESCRIPTION
Critical Care Grand Rounds is a weekly conference series designed to improve the practice of Critical Care Medicine, covering a broad list of topics relevant to the specialties intimately related to critical care and health care delivery.  The target audience for this activity is the interprofessional critical care team, including physicians of many disciplines, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational and physical therapists. These conferences are delivered in a variety of formats, including didactic presentations, case based and expert panel discussions, simulation demonstrations and interactive workshops on a variety of topics including patient safety, quality improvement, teamwork and communication.

In-Person and Live-Streamed; Weekly on Thursday's from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Allied Health Professionals, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Resident Fellows, Scientist Researcher, PhD's, Students, Respiratory Therapists.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Apply principles of palliative care to common challenging clinical situations encountered during ICU practice.
  • Describe interprofessional processes within the ICU community of practice.
  • Use the DMAIC framework to address safety and quality issues in critical care. 
  • Demonstrate appropriate use of the ABCDEF ICU Liberation Bundle in daily practice across the spectrum of critical illness.
