1. Review new 2016 clinical practice guideline for diagnosis and treatment of hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) and ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP)
2. Review the differences between the 2016 guideline and the prior 2005 HAP/VAP guidelines. 
3. Review guideline recommendations for empiric HAP/VAP treatment and pathogen-specific therapy
