LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize health disparities and barriers to healthcare for transgender and gender diverse individuals

  • Identify Minority Stress and Trauma-Informed Care in relation to transgender and gender diverse individuals

  • Summarize current practices in medical and surgical gender-affirming care

  • Identify anatomic, physiologic, pharmacologic, psychosocial factors impacting the perioperative care of transgender and gender diverse patients
