DESCRIPTION

This series occurs weekly on Thursday at 7:30 a.m.

Dermatology Hospital grand rounds is a weekly conference to train physicians on the pitfalls and challenges encountered in the management of complicated dermatological patients including topics on erythrodermas, severe drug rashes, deep ulcers, and blistering disorders. 

TARGET AUDIENCE
The Dermatology Hospital Conference attendees will include Dermatology staff, PAs and residents.  The target audience is the consulting staff and PAs.  All attendees should have a basic knowledge of the specialty of dermatology and skin manifestations of systemic diseases, dermatopathology as well as pharmacology and therapeutics. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe how to effectively diagnose a variety of dermatologic conditions encountered in hospitalized patients.
  • Explain how to initiate an initial workup of a variety of dermatologic conditions encountered in hospitalized patients.
  • Explain how to treat and manage a variety of dermatologic conditions encountered in hospitalized patients.
