Designed to empower women to take the next steps in their academic and career progression, Women in Leadership, Medicine and Academics: WILMA 2024, focuses on tactics to lead more effectively, build resilience, and initiate scholarly activity.  This course consists of lectures, small group breakouts, and question and answer sessions geared towards discussion of actionable strategies and tools to support thriving careers for women.

  • Dedicated time for questions and discussion

This year's event features an inspiring and informative keynote speaker, Dr. Tasha Eurich, an organizational psychologist, researcher, and New York Times best-selling author who helps people thrive in an ever-changing world.

A separate, non-CME, optional networking reception hosted by Mayo Clinic Family Medicine Midwest Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity Committee will be held April 25 from 4:00-6:00 p.m., at the Oxbow Hotel, 516 Galloway St., Eau Claire, WI.  Additional information and RSVP can be directed to Shelley Noehl.

Target Audience

This course is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nursing leaders (directors, managers and supervisors), administrative leaders and eMERGing leaders.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe strategies and tools for leading more effectively
  • Discuss the value of and initial steps for pursuing scholarship and innovation in healthcare
  • Identify approaches to address challenges in career meaning and satisfaction
