DESCRIPTION
This activity is held the first Wednesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
DLMP Grand Rounds is a formal lecture series focused on the needs of the laboratory medicine and pathology consultant staff, residents, and fellows with the intent to encourage collaboration among consultants at its >70 laboratories located in MCR, MCF, MCA, MCHS, and MML New England. This monthly conference series presents a broad variety of innovative and scientific laboratory medicine and pathology topics.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Recognize gaps between the DLMP subspecialties as a result of advances in laboratory medicine and the subsequent impact of laboratory test results in relation to patient diagnoses and treatment regimens.
2. Explain the need for interdisciplinary collaboration for new test development to ensure cutting edge/more definitive laboratory tests are available to all patients and as a result, tests that no longer fulfill those needs, are obsoleted.
3. Describe how a unified purpose across the clinical practice, education, and research shields within DLMP supports our work efforts each and every day and leads to diffusion of best practices throughout DLMP.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Consultants, Residents, Fellows, and allied health staff.
