Title: RST DLMP Grand Rounds LymphoVision, BloodBytes, and Beyond: Foundation Models for Precision Medicine in Blood Cancers June 3, 2026
Presenters: Jansen Seheult, M.D., M.B., B.Ch., B.A.O., Wenchao Han, Ph.D.
Learning Objectives - after this presentation, participants should be able to:
- Describe the unique computational pathology challenges posed by hematologic malignancies, including morphologic heterogeneity, multi-compartment disease biology, and multimodal diagnostic workflows.
- Explain how self-supervised, disease-specialized vision encoders trained on large lymphoma and bone marrow cohorts can capture tissue architecture, spatial arrangement, and cellular morphology.
- Evaluate how multimodal AI models integrating pathology images with laboratory and clinical data can support diagnosis, molecular subtyping, prognosis, and treatment-response prediction in blood cancers.
