Hot Topics in Family Medicine is an annual one day course designed for the family medicine physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner and nurses. This course will provide attendees with current and relevant updates to your daily management of various patient health concerns in primary care. Time is allocated for questions and discussion.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Review the factors involved in determining the patient’s experiences and how the evaluation impacts the individual primary care provider
  • Define the management of obstructive sleep apnea and the care for primary care patients
  • Describe the factors involved with metabolic syndrome and evaluation of the patient by waist circumference
