Primary Care SE MN Rochester/Kasson Skills Days 2020 Online CME Course

This online course is offered to newly hired and current NP/PA staff in Primary Care. The course provides an opportunity to learn case-based approaches in the evaluation on pediatric nutrition and pearls, eating disorders, depression and anxiety, and geriatric care. In addition, it provides an opportunity to learn from Integrated Community Specialists (ICS) physicians with whom the staff frequently collaborates with on cardiology, gastroenterology and spine cases.

Target Audience

This course is primarily designed for NP's and PA's.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe at least one general spine principle
  • Identify potentially negative outcomes of picky eaters
  • Specify how to assist patients in managing stress during a pandemic
  • Determine how to assess for eating disorders during wellness examinations
  • Distinguish ways to assess cognition in the geriatric population
  • Summarize the evaluation and management of common GI conditions seen in primary care.
