ABIM Maintenance of Certification: 2017-2018 Update in Gastroenterology

Mayo Clinic will host a Maintenance of Certification Learning Session that will feature the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) 2017-2018 Update in Gastroenterology knowledge module.  The primary purpose of the Learning Session is to facilitate completion of ABIM medical knowledge modules by board-certified internists and subspecialists of internal medicine in order to receive Maintenance of Certification credit. Learning Sessions are conducted in an interactive group setting with educational support, and are led by ABIM-certified physicians.

Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of up-to-date clinical gastroenterology and identify areas where additional study may be needed.
  • Describe options for the diagnosis, management and therapy of GI diseases.
  • Identify strategies for screening and prevention of GI diseases.

Reserve your room before January 22, 2018 in order to receive a discounted rate (limited number available). Please identify yourself as a participant of the Mayo Clinic GI-HEP 2018 course when making your reservation.

Room rates are per room, per night, single, double and triple occupancy, plus applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-in. Children under 18 years old staying in an adults’ room are complimentary. Group rates will apply three days prior and three days after the course dates, based upon group room availability.

Daily resort fee of $35 is reduced to $5 per room, per night plus tax.  Benefits will include guestroom internet; in-room coffee; local and toll-free calls; 24-hour access to the fitness center; discounted golf fees and preferred tee times at the Bay and The Plantation Golf Courses; shuttle transportation to and from West Maui Airport and throughout the Kapalua Resort; participation in Aloha Friday festivities, arts and crafts, and cultural history tours; complimentary tennis court time for all guests at on-property tennis court facilities.  

Reservations will be taken based upon resort room availability, at the contracted meeting rate. A two-night room and tax deposit will be charged at time of booking.

Individual room cancellation must be received 14 days prior to arrival to avoid penalty of all nights reserved.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Request for cancellations must be submitted in writing to mca.cme@mayo.edu. When cancelling a registration for a course 14 days or more before the course start date, a full refund (minus a $75 administrative fee) will be issued in the same form of payment the registration was received. No refunds are granted less than 14 days before the course start date.
