This course is designed to update healthcare providers practicing in gastroenterology and hepatology about new approaches to the diagnosis and management of patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases.  Faculty will present data on numerous topics including general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal neoplasia, esophageal diseases, motility, nutrition, pancreaticobiliary disorders, endoscopy and hepatology. Video presentations on complex endoscopy cases and new technology will be presented by expert endoscopists. Controversies in the diagnosis and management of patients with gastrointestinal and liver diseases will be analyzed in case presentations and panel discussions. Concurrent lunch breakout sessions offer an extensive review and discussion of clinical topics.

•    Describe best practices for polypectomy in colonoscopy.

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, has reserved a block of coastal view rooms for course participants at a special group rate of $315 (USD) per room, per night, single/double/triple/quad occupancy, plus applicable state and local taxes.  Group rates will apply three days prior to and three days after course dates based on availability of coastal view rooms.  The maximum number of people per guest room is four.  A maximum of two children under the age of eighteen per room are complimentary.  Attendees will have complimentary access to the fitness center.

Make your reservation online or call 888-239-1217 before the room block fills or the cut-off date, Wednesday, March 4, 2020.  Reservation requests received after March 4 will be accepted at the group rate pending availability of coastal view rooms. Mayo Clinic attendees may “opt in” to the resort fee at time of check-in at $16.50 per night (reduced from $33).   The resort fee includes:  
•  High Speed wireless in-room internet access for up to 5 devices
•  One fitness class daily, per room
•  One beach umbrella
•  Two beach boogie boards for two hours per day
•  Two bicycles for two hours per day
•  Use of facilities and one bag of range balls at GCAI
•  Tennis court privileges including racquets and balls for one hour per day
This resort fee is not mandatory for Mayo Clinic attendees; however, unsubscribed guests will not receive all amenities included in the resort fee.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.; check-out time is 11:00 a.m.  

Reservations cancelled within 7 days of the course will forfeit the deposit of one night’s room and tax.  

Parking:  Day valet parking is complimentary; overnight valet parking will be provided at a reduced rate of $12 per night.

Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
