This course is designed to refresh and strengthen the knowledge of professional healthcare providers practicing in clinical gastroenterology and hepatology. Faculty will present updated approaches to the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. The topics covered will include but not be limited to general gastroenterology, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, esophageal diseases, motility disorders, nutrition, pancreaticobiliary disorders, endoscopic procedures, hospital medicine for gastrointestinal and liver conditions, as well as artificial intelligence in medicine. Complex cases and new technology will be presented by expert endoscopists and clinicians via short videos with the opportunity for panel discussions to enrich to presentations. An Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Symposium will focus on diverse aspects of the care of patients with IBD, including new medications, diet, health maintenance, fertility, and case discussions.

Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other healthcare providers practicing in gastroenterology and hepatology.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Summarize the use of novel biomarkers in the evaluation of steatotic liver disease.
- Describe new pharmaceutical options for patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
- Describe the diagnosis and management of biliary obstruction.
- Discuss best practices for addressing gastroparesis.
- Recognize management of atypical lesions found during routine endoscopy.

The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, has reserved a block of coastal view rooms for course participants at a special group rate of $349 (USD) per room, per night, single/double occupancy, plus applicable state, and local taxes. Group rates apply three days prior to and three days after course dates based on availability of coastal view rooms. The maximum number of people per guest room is four. A maximum of two children under the age of eighteen per room is complimentary.
Make your reservation online or call 888-239-1217 before the room block fills or the cut-off date, Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Deposit of one night’s room and tax to be paid at time of reservation. Reservation requests received after February 17th will be accepted at the group rate pending availability of coastal view rooms. For Mayo Clinic GI Hep, the mandatory resort fee is $25.00 (regularly $40) per room, per day, plus tax and includes the following services and amenities:
- Enhanced wireless in-room internet access for up to five devices
- Local, toll-free and domestic long-distance phone calls
- 24/7 access to fitness center
- One fitness class daily
- Bicycle usage for up to two bikes, for two hours
- Use of practice facilities and one bag of range balls at the Golf Club of Amelia Island. Proper attire is required.
- Tennis court privileges, including racquet and balls, for one hour
- One beach umbrella and two (2) beach chairs per room per day
- One beach boogie board per room per day
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.; check-out time is 11:00 a.m. To avoid one night’s room/tax charge, reservations must be canceled at least seven (7) days prior to scheduled arrival.
Parking:
- Day valet parking is $15, per day, plus tax
- Overnight valet parking will be provided at a reduced rate of $30 (regularly $40) per night, plus tax
