Title: Pro-adaptive factors in the treatment of patients with short bowel syndrome and intestinal failure

Learning Objectives:

  • Classify SBS patients anatomically and functionally
  • Awareness of concurrent changes in endogenous secretions of pro-adaptive hormones and potential pathophysiological effects
  • Review the differential effects of pro-adaptive treatments based on SBS classification to ensure optimal PS weaning
