DESCRIPTION
GIM Grand Rounds is intended to provide an efficient, effective, and contemporary approach to the physicians in the Division of General Internal Medicine. The medical landscape is ever evolving with new research, diagnostic techniques, treatment modalities and guidelines emerging constantly. Staying abreast of these developments is vital to ensure that we are offering our patient the most current and evidence-based care available.

In-Person and Live-Streamed; Orange Thursdays from 12:00-1:00 p.m.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians and Physician Assistants

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Describe key updates in clinical patient assessment, complex medical care diagnosis and therapeutic options.
  • Review clinical pearls and high yield medical knowledge that are often the subject of testing in ongoing clinical certification examinations and board review.
  • Identify key updates in guidelines of Internal Medicine care including preventive medicine, women’s health, perioperative care, consultative medicine, and hospital medicine.
  • Assess ongoing research both at the Division level and at the Enterprise level to participate in ongoing projects.
  • Review quality initiative and capstone projects that are completed by General Internal Medicine fellows as part of their clinical training.
