DESCRIPTION
We are hoping to start a tri-site "grand rounds" within the division of hospital internal medicine, across all three of the main Mayo sites - Rochester, Arizona, and Florida. This would occur virtually (to allow for everyone to attend), though there would also be in person option at the site where the lecture is actually taking place. These grand rounds presentations would occur monthly, and would be a combination of clinical update series and visiting professor guest lectures.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience is: physicians, nurse practitioners (NP), physician assistants (PA), nurses, and others.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Apply diagnostic and treatment strategies recommended by clinical practice guidelines into the care of hospitalized adult patients.
- Apply the latest evidence from the medical literature when caring for hospitalized adults.
- Integrate effective and evidenced-based educational strategies when teaching medical trainees in the hospital setting.
- Utilize effective and evidence-based strategies to support clinician wellness, practice management, and career development in hospital medicine.
