DESCRIPTION
The one hour conference consists of one or two infectious disease cases. When two cases are discussed a mini-review of the topics will be presented. When only one case is presented, it will be followed by a more in depth discussion of the topic involving the infectious disease fellow, microbiology fellow, and infectious disease pharmacist.

In-Person and Live-Streamed, Thursday's 7:30-8:30a.m.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for infectious diseases allied health professionals, NP's, pharmacists, physicians, physicians assistants, resident fellows, scientist researcher, PhD, students and microbiologists.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Integrate the published national guidelines in the management of various infectious diseases.
  • Formulate a clinical management plan according to expert data analysis to optimize patient care.
  • Appraise the role of novel assays (e.g., multiplex PCR, metagenomic next-generation sequencing) in diagnosing infection
