DESCRIPTION
IM MERIT conference trains residents in identifying and researching topics that are relevant to the clinical practice of medicine.  The goal is to 1) learn to perform literature searches to answer a clinical question; 2) to critically appraise the literature; 3) to present the information in a coherent CME level talk to members of the clinical community.  An expert in the field attends the conference and provides his/her insights into the topic.  We tackle many questions in the clinical practice, including cutting edge literature. Not only does the individual resident benefit from the process, but the audience gets exposure to the latest evidence based clinical practice that is linked to high value, patient-centered care.
