This two-day course, located on the beautiful Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, Florida, campus, will provide clinicians, nurses and scientists with the most up-to-date information on autoimmune neurological diseases. This is a rapidly growing field where up to date knowledge is essential to the accurate care of patients with these diseases. The speakers are true international experts as Mayo has a rich heritage of autoimmune neurology discoveries. Talks will include contemporary updates in addition to case base discussions. Attendees will also be able to network and discuss research collaboration opportunities with the faculty.
Target Audience
Neurologists, psychiatrists, internal medicine physicians, as well as PAs and NPs in those specialties, in addition to neuroscientists and immunologists interested in neuroimmunity
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the accurate diagnosis of autoimmune neurological diseases
- Identify the evidence base for immunotherapies administered to patients
- Describe the biology underlying these diseases towards appreciation of novel therapeutic avenues
