As of November 1, 2023, Civil Surgeons were required to enter records of Adjustment of Status applicants with tuberculosis classification into the eMedical system. In this session, participants gain an understanding of the eMedical system, enabling them to navigate and comply with tuberculosis reporting requirements. The course ensures that civil surgeons are well-prepared to integrate eMedical into their workflow, promoting efficiency and accuracy in tuberculosis case management.
Target Audience
This series is targeted to allied health professionals, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, residents/fellows, and civil surgeons as well as advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health staff who help support civil surgeons and status adjusters.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify the eMedical features to navigate and interact with the system effectively.
- Implement the tuberculosis reporting requirements mandated for adjustment of status applicants.
- Integrate strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the reporting process to complete the eMedical requirements.

Through an agreement between the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, medical practitioners participating in the Royal College MOC Program may record completion of accredited activities registered under the ACCME’s “CME in Support of MOC” program in Section 3 of the Royal College’s MOC Program.
