Updates in Internal Medicine is designed to present the latest practice information for the ever-changing discipline of internal medicine.  Sessions will cover new guidelines, recent studies, and practice changes in general internal medicine and selected subspecialties.  Expert Mayo Clinic faculty will present emerging practical and evidence-based clinical approaches to commonly encountered conditions. (IMupdates)
 

Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize recent updates, clinical studies, and new guidelines that impact practice in general medicine.
  • Recognize common clinical pearls in the areas of general internal medicine, cardiology, gastroenterology, and infectious diseases.
  • Review cases in fibromyalgia.
  • Summarize new treatment strategies for diabetic patients.
  • Describe updates to management patients perioperatively.
