DESCRIPTION
The Liver Clinical Pathology Correlation Conference is a disciplinary teaching conference focused on both transplant and non-transplant hepatobiliary pathology.  The conference occurs weekly via Microsoft Teams on Thursday mornings and is led by a pathology fellow and a staff pathologist.  It is attended by hepatologist, transplant surgeons, transplant hepatology fellows, and gastroenterology fellows. The conference is divided into two segments. The first half is devoted to non-transplant liver cases, both consults and in-house cases, during which a liver pathology fellow and staff pathologist present interesting/instructional cases, typically organized around a specific teaching theme for the week. The second half is devoted to in-house transplant biopsies and liver explant pathology.  The conference is highly interactive, encouraging clinicians to give clinical background while the pathologists provide clinicopathologic correlation.
