DESCRIPTION
This is a weekly 45-minute conference which focuses on topics pertaining to the ongoing clinical practice of congenital heart disease, continuing education, quality assurance and research.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for multidisciplinary physicians and mid-level health care providers.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Summarize the clinical uses of different imaging modalities.
  • Identify recent advances in congenital heart disease imaging and surgical techniques.
  • Utilize methods, instrumentation, and uses of echocardiography, catheterization in patient evaluation.
  • Incorporate echocardiographic and catheterization data into clinical decision making.
  • Assess LV function (systolic and diastolic).
  • Describe the value and limitations of echo and cath.
