  • Demonstrate how to interpret hscTnT values in patients with COVID-19
  • Interpret the mechanisms for increases in hscTnT
  • Identify the potential of missing MIs because of the effects of the COVID pandemic
  • Recognize that gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms can be a manifestation of GI symptoms
  • Demonstrate how mild and transient elevations of aminotransferases are observed in COVID-19 infection, more frequently in severe COVID-19, and do not require any specific treatment
  • Demonstrate that the COVID-19 liver injury is usually modest; for significant elevations of aminotransferases >5-10x upper limit of normal, consider other causes such as drug-induced liver injury or ischemic hepatitis
  • Describe respiratory failure and ARDS associated with COVID-19, including basic physiology and interventions
  • Emphasize best practice for viral pneumonias: "Supportive care: Know the basics and do them well"
  • Identify several COVID-related challenges, their practical solutions, and lessons learned based upon our ICU experience with COVID patients to date
