  • Determine the factors contributing to insomnia through a brief history
  • Describe the principles and availability of cognitive-beharioral therapy for insomnia
  • Discuss with patients the advantages and disadvantages of using hypnotics
  • Select the most appropriate hypnotic for use in patients with insomnia
