Learning Objectives:

  • Review Mayo physician authored literature from a century ago and how similar issues still plague the modern practitioner
  • Compare the state of the Mayo Clinic 100 years ago and today
  • Explore issues such as blood transfusion practices, census management and infection control and how it has changed between 1919 and 2019
