Learning Objectives:

  • Explain how to assess the pre-test probability of inflammatory arthritis in adults with musculoskeletal pain based on the patient's history
  • Demonstrate how to identify definite clinical synovitis in adult patients with inflammatory joint pain
  • Identify how to diagnose undifferentiated inflammatory arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis according to current classification criteria
  • Prescribe initial drug therapy and laboratory monitoring for patients with chronic inflammatory arthritis
