• Define the indications for stress echocardiography in contemporary clinical practice
• Determine the evidence base underlying validation of stress echocardiography for detection and risk stratification of ischemic heart disease
• Compare the information provided by stress echocardiography with that provided by other testing modalities for ischemic heart disease
• Measure the value and versatility of stress echocardiography in patients with known or suspected heart disease
