DESCRIPTION
This weekly internal conference covers clinical and surgical aspects of breast care, including hospital-based case discussions. Experts from surgery, pathology, radiology, oncology, plastic surgery, genetics, and internal medicine participate. The conference is virtual, with hybrid sessions on the second Friday of the month to encourage in-person collaboration.
In-Person and Live-Streamed; Weekly on Friday from 7:00-8:00 a.m.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Allied Health Professionals, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Resident Fellows, Scientist Researcher PhDs, and Students.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Compare the advantages/disadvantages of different imaging modalities of the breast including advances in imaging with the incorporation of artificial intelligence.
- Identify different surgical approaches to patients with benign and malignant breast lesions.
- Identify evolving chemotherapy regimens available, including clinical trials, for women with breast cancer.
- Review advances in breast radiation techniques (such as GRID radiotherapy) and the integration of AI in the radiation oncology clinic workflow.
