"Acetazolamide Therapy for Electrical Status Epilepticus in Sleep (ESES)"

Learning objectives:
Recognize the electrographic features of electrical status epilepticus (ESES)
Differentiate between the two electroclinical syndromes of Landau-Kleffner syndrome (LKS) and Continuous Spike and Wave in Slow Wave Sleep (CSWS)
Identify proposed first-line therapies used in the treatment of ESES

Dr. Fine does intend to discuss off-label/investigative uses of the following commercial products/devices: Acetazolamide, Diazepam
