Learning Objectives:
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe clinical features that distinguish infectious from autoimmune encephalitis.
  • Describe the role of neuroimaging in the characterization of autoimmune encephalitis.
  • Define cellular and molecular mechanisms by which human herpes viruses infect neurons.
