DESCRIPTION
Neuro/Oncology is a fundamental topic that spans multiple medical and surgical disciplines including medical oncology, neuro-oncology, radiation oncology, cancer biology, physics, and chemotherapeutics. The target audience is medical oncologists, neuro-oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, physician midlevels (ARNP-PA), and nurses.  The course will be internally advertised via email to Mayo multidisciplinary staff.

Live-Streamed; Weekly on Thursdays from 7:00-8:00 a.m.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Resident Fellows, Scientist Researcher, PhD's, and Students. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Create more team-centered care for patients with brain and spine tumors.
  • Discuss new techniques in surgical management and radiation as it relates to brain and spine tumors.
  • Assess new and ongoing clinical trials as it relates to neuro-oncology.
