Stroke Nursing Review is offered on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, from 1:15-5:45 pm. This course is designed for nurses who provide care to patients with acute stroke in the hospital and/or ICU environment. The course is designed to help enhance nursing knowledge in management of acute stroke patients and hospital assessment and documentation. It is ideal for nurses who wish to review stroke concepts for stroke center certification or nursing stroke subspecialty review purposes.

Lodging Accommodations

A block of coastal-view rooms are reserved for attendees and their guests at the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, with a group rate of $189 per night, plus tax, for single, double, triple or quadruple occupancy. The rate includes complimentary in-room Internet service.

Reservations can be made online or by calling reservations at (904) 277-1100 and identifying yourself as a participant of the Mayo Clinic Stroke course. Early reservations are recommended due to the limited number of rooms available.

Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is noon.

All parking is provided by valet service. Overnight parking is $12 per night. Day guest parking is complimentary.

Abstracts Submissions

Please submit your abstract for poster presentation at this year's conference. Any challenging stroke case that may be difficult or pose a stroke management dilemma is welcome. Presentation format is a fast-paced, five- to six-minute presentation followed by a rapid-fire Q&A from the audience and moderators for group discussion.

Submit your abstract by Monday, July 14, 2014. At least one of the authors must register and attend the conference. Details regarding the abstract submission can be found in the download section on the right-hand side of your screen.
