The modern care of patients who suffer from challenging clinical neuroscience problems requires a multidisciplinary team. This course provides neuroscience care team members the latest advances and innovations in complex brain, spinal and peripheral nerve disorders including brain and skull base tumors, neurovascular diseases including complex arteriovenous malformations, spinal disorders including scoliosis, acute stroke, epilepsy, and other exciting and important neuroscience frontiers. The format will be case based, with simulation demonstrations and panel discussions. The latest in procedural neuroscience technologies will be showcased and will be available for hands on experiences using simulators.

Device and Technology Showcase with Hands-on |

Pre-registration required for general session, Device and Technology Showcase and Advanced Practice Provider Hands-on Workshop. Space is limited; early registration is advised.
The Device and Technology Showcase with Hands-On Simulation, offered on both Thursday and Friday, is designed to provide participants with the opportunity to experience cutting edge technology and devices first-hand through hands-on simulation. The simulators will be available only during the Thursday and Friday afternoon sessions. Examples of simulation experiences:
- Minimally invasive spine surgery techniques
- Minimally invasive brain hemorrhage techniques
- Stroke thrombectomy
- Microsurgical skills
- Endoscopic skull base teqhniques
- Intracranial stenting

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
General Session
- Summarize the latest approaches pertaining to minimally invasive intracerebral hemorrhage treatment and acute ischemic stroke management. Review modern multimodal management of brain arteriovenous malformations, dural fistulas and aneurysms.
- Identify modern indications for pediatric and adult scoliosis and minimally invasive spine surgery.
- Demonstrate modern multimodal management of skull base tumors and brain tumors.
Pre-Course Advanced Practice Provider NP/PA Workshop:
- Identify the cranial, spinal and endovascular anatomy and associated disease processes.
- Practice performing minor invasive procedures common to neurosurgery.
- Identify the importance of Advanced Practice Provider as part of the Multidisciplinary Neurosurgical team.
