Transcranial Doppler and Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter Workshop Description
Ultrasound  plays is a crucial role in point of care diagnosis and management in the modern intensive care unit.  Neurovascular ultrasound in particular, provides safe, effective bedside diagnosis in acutely brain injured patients.  In this workshop you will learn the basis of neurovascular monitoring for diagnoses such as vascular stenosis or occlusion  as well as  more advanced components of multimodal monitoring including autoregulatory function and noninvasive estimations of cerebral perfusion pressure and intracranial pressure. The course also teaches noninvasive intracranial pressure Optic Nerve Sheath Diameter (ONSD) measurement by ultrasound.
